Police Department Live Scan Automated Fingerprinting System

The department applied to the New Jersey State Police and was approved for the Live Scan Automated Fingerprinting System.   This system allows for the electronic taking and submission of fingerprints from arrested persons.  This system also allows for the fingerprinting of arrested persons to verify their identity or to identify fugitives who provide false information.   Dover is also one of the first municipal police departments in the state to use this system with the incorporated Mug Shot Photo System.  This system allows for the taking and submission of not only fingerprints but also photographs of the person arrested.
